Foundation of Mental Strength - Philosophy
Building on your values we can now think about our mission, the very essence of what we stand for/train for/play for/compete for. What is your philosophy? When you think about yourself as a person, an athlete, a team member. What do you stand for? Who do you want to show up as?
Once developed, your Philosophy will provide clarity. Your philosophy will provide you with an easy way to communicate to others what you stand for, what is important to you. When we have certainty of self we have power; Power to perform at peak and power to affect our environment.
When we develop our philosophy based on your values, bring it into our awareness and practice it we are able to show up as our best self under all circumstances. It is all well and good to be your best self when things are going well but when things get tough what happens? Can you bring it all when the going gets tough? Can you easily communicate the very essence of what is most important to you to others?
